| Our cosy bungalow is situated on the shores of Strangford Lough - a beautiful inland sea Lough on the east coast of Northern Ireland. With over 300 uninhabited islands to explore, it is a beautiful safe haven for wildlife and is protected by the National Trust. We have seals, fish and fantastic bird life. Even porpoises come into the lough. We have a slipway at the bottom of the garden to launch dinghys. The beach is extremely safe. We are 1 minutes walk from Strangford lough Yacht Club. Belfast 30 mins. Mourne Mountains 40mins. Giants Causeway 1 1/2 hours. Dublin 2 1/2 hours. |

It is also only 30 minutes drive from Belfast, a dynamic city with theatres, museums, and excellent shopping. The kitchen has a cosy Aga and we have an open log fire in the lounge.The house has a digital piano. Car exchange is with a ford Galaxy people carrier or smaller car if prefered. Bikes and camping gear available. Fishing .Nearest local pub on next island reached by causeway. |

We are open to offers. We especially love sking and outdoor pursuits. We also travel to Topper dinghy events so often seek week-end breaks in locations close to yacht clubs. We are hoping to travel from October 09 - January 2010 and are open to offers, particularly in the Southern Hemisphere.

I am a part time secondary school teacher, in Biology and PE. I also work as a volunteer for Christian Aid. My husband is an accountant, and a Director in a large insurance company. We have 3 children - aged 13,12 and 8. We all enjoy sports - especially watersports and sking. We have done one exchange so far - an excellent experience. References available if requested. We are also a musical family - everyone in the family plays a different instrument! Our children are currently very involved in dinghy racing at local yacht club and further afield.
