Located in the vibrant and historic neighborhood of Park Slope, Brooklyn - our totally new, large and lofty 2BR condo is in an old converted sneaker factory. We are in the heart of this dynamic neighborhood with easy access to local shops, boutiques, restaurants, prospect park, and cultural institutes (Brooklyn Academy of Music, Botanical Gardens, Brooklyn Museum), and other historic and trendy Brooklyn neighborhoods (Brooklyn Heights, Boreum Hill, Fort Greene, Cobble Hill). Short commute via subway, car, or bike to all Manhattan locals.

Eat in kitchen, sun drenched living room, large bathroom, two modest sized bedrooms - one is a child's room. Laundry is in the basement. Elevator.

Park Slope is one of Brooklyn's most interesting neighborhoods. Culturally diverse with a mix of Upper West Side transplants and artsy hipsters and all those in-between. It is a neighborhood dominated by young families with strollers, dogs, playgrounds, and child friendly events and cafes abound.
Tree-lined blocks and shop filled avenues create a wonderful urban mix. Specialty shops give shoppers a wide range of choices with foods, clothing, gifts, antiques, arts and crafts, and more. Park Slope and its surrounding neighborhood is home to some of New York's finest restaurants - with many of its owners and chefs from world known Manhattan eateries.
Prospect Park, created by Frederick Olmsted after completing New York's Central Park, boasts some of the most natural acreage in the city. The park is filled with runners, bikers, other recreational athletes of all ages and sizes. It is also home to the Prospect Park Zoo. In the summer, the park hosts free summer concerts and in the winter, a skating rink. The Brooklyn Botanical Gardens has various festivals through-out the seasons, including the Cherry Blossom festival in the spring and Chili Pepper festival in the fall. Other nearby cultural institutes hosts events through-out the year with film, plays, exhibits, concerts, readings, and more.
Easy access to all - including a 5 minute walk to major subway lines (2/3, 4/5, B, Q, R).
Its the type of neighborhood you would be happy to stumble upon when exploring a new city and all the more happy to return to.

We have rented our condo during the July and Aug. for the past five summers. We have always had successful experiences and have met people from different parts of the U.S. and some from other countries. We are both native New Yorkers who love to share our passion for the city and would be happy to help you navigate your time here with recommendations and all that would make your stay enjoyable.

Our school schedule is our only restriction to dates. We like to take advantage of school holidays - including the holiday break during Christmas week and summers.

We are a family of teachers with a two year old son and pet dog. Mili is the Dean of Students at a local, public middle school. Karen is Health Department Chairperson at a top New York private school. We both enjoy taking advantage of all that city life offers a young family as well as quiet time at home. The kitchen reflects Karen's passion for cooking. We are members of a neighborhood food coop which offers organic and local foods. We have two children, Arlo is six and is a big fan of all types of legos. Nico is three and is a big fan of all super heros, especially the green latern. They are both extremely well natured and have a great sense of humor.
