The Newport Beach bay area is the home of hundreds of exclusive homes some of which were and are now occupied by movie stars.This location is a 55 minute drive outside of drive times.
This beach is just south of Dana Point. We make frequent visits to this area in 55 minutes outside of drive time. There are numerous state parks along the Pacific Coast Highway number 1 in Orange County.

I make frequent trips to Germany, Alsace and Switzerland to visit friends that I have met over the years on the "Mennonite Your Way" program. Would consider a hospitality exchange. I can trade autos, but because of insurance problems in California, I will negotiate renting you a car as part of an auto exchange. I am intrested in seeing a viehscheid Festival in Oberstdorf on September 13th which is the separation of the Swiss cows coming down from the Alpine mountains. I am interested in staying in Munich or lower Bayern.

This home is in Redlands, 55 miles east of Los Angeles. (We has a one bedroom townhouse in Irvine, Woodridge, California which can be used in conjunction with this house.)
This is a two story stucco home with tile roof in an excellent neighborhood. In addition to the listed appliances, it has a dish washer, vacum cleaners, air conditioning, Broadband & FIOS cable TV, WiFi, and furnace. Beds: Queen bed in masterbedroom,regular bed in second bedroom, trundel or day bed in third bed room, twin bed in office, & sofa bed in livingroom.
As this is a second home, I can do a non-simultaneous exchange at anytime.
REDLANDS is one of the most exquisite communities in California.

AIRPORTS:The nearest airport is Ontario International which is 30 minutes away. Residents also use LAX and Orange County airports which are about an hour away. Orange County near Irvine is considered the best of the two latter airports. Flights to this area can be arranged from Frankfurt or Munich to the American Airlines hub in Dallas Fort Worth and then to any of the above.
Redlands is a beautiful community 45 minutes west of Palm Springs, two hours north of San Diego, and one hour east of Los Angeles & Orange County. Las Vegas is a three hour drive to the east on I-15. Redlands is also 55 minutes away from Disneyland which is close to Capistrano Beach, Newport Beach and Dana Point on the Pacific Ocean. Two of the finest shoppping centers are located here, Fashion Island in Newport Beach and the largest in Southern California, Costa Mesa, which is just east of Newport Beach. REDLANDS itself is a community of palm tree lined streets and beautiful expensive homes. It was founded by the lumber barrons of Wisconsin who rebuilt Chicago after the 1871 Chicago Fire. Later they founded such paper companies as Kimberly Clark. It was also the site of the orange industry in California shipping notable brands back east such as Blue Goose. The citrus industry was founded at the Agricultural Experimental Station at the University of California at nearby Riverside. The orginal citus tree still lives in Riverside. The Living Desert in Palm Desert from which animals from the arid world live is a popular destination for Europeon travelers.
