As soon as you enter through the old wooden front gate you feel the spirit of the island of the gods! Vila Lila Cita is nestled in a lush, unspoiled, tropical nature. Gently sloping rice terraces are guarded by huge trees and palms.
The original landscape of the rice terraces has been kept untouched by the villa construction and unite rice fields, lawn and blossoming plants.
Three spacious private bungalows are draped around the main building which is the meeting place for family and social activities:
TV room/flat screen, sound system, library, billiard, chess, backgammon…for entertainment; a dining and lounge room with open kitchen invite you to enjoy a sundowner or dinner at home.
Large verandas and balconies are perfect places for relaxation.
Swimming in the 14 m infinity pool gives you the feeling of floating in the treetops of the neighboring jungle opposite the river that borders the premises.
The interior has been fitted with antique Indonesian furniture. The generous use of timber and stone generates an ambiance of harmony – yet it has all the modern amenities you come to expect.
Water features with tropical fishes around the Vilas in the shape of the original rice terraces, fountains and Balinese statues, monoliths and our Balinese house temples create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
Our warm-hearted Balinese staff (maids, gardener, night guards, driver) are extremely friendly and helpful. They are happy to care for all our guests.
Start the day with a tropical fruit platter or a freshly squeezed juice. Even the famous Balines massage can be enjoyed at home.
Our car (6-seater) could be used if required. Our driver Wayan will be happy to show you around the beautiful island.

Our Vila Lila Cita is located on the back side of a beautiful small Balinese village. No house nor road is visable from the villa while natural sounds and beauty please the senses. As most of our lovely staff is coming from the village and as we keep good relation with the community it is a very secure place.
Although we are located in a pure Balinese neighborhood you can enjoy all amenities Bali can offer:
15 minutes drive to the nearest beach,
15 minutes drive to the famous Nirvana Golf Course (one of the best in Asia) and to Tanah Lot;
40 minutes drive to the upscale restaurant and shopping area of Seminyak;
50 minutes drive to the city of the artists - Ubud;
max. 1 hour to the airport.

| Overige informatie |
Our villa comes together with our 2 dogs who live here permanently. Zola is a white American-Canadian sheppard dog while little Novi is a mixed local breed. Both are nice and friendly family dogs.

With the exception of July and August we are quite flexible regarding the exchange period(s). We, however, do not want/need to exchange simultaneously as we have another home in Germany.

While we have some favorite places we would like to visit we are basically open to any location, exchange ideas and time. - So far it worked out very well!!!
Actually October 2010 the vila is available for non-simultaneous exchange.
For 2011/12 we would love to find homeexchange with Marocco.

We are a German family living in Asia for most of the previous 25 years.
Thorsten (55) is a recently (semi-) retired business man while Gesine (50) has always been actively involved in charity work. She has established and runs a school for underprivileged children on Java. (you may have a look under: www.ciptamandiri.net)
We have built Vila Lila Cita in 2005. As we also have a home in Germany and like to travel a lot, exchanges don't have to be simoltanously.
Our two children are grown up and live in Hamburg, Germany nowadays – but they just love to come to Bali with their friends whenever they can.
While under normal circumstances our exchange party would only include the two of us it is quite possible that we would invite our children.
