Onze woning
Beautiful, airy, spacious family home in the Mt. Helix area of San Diego. Minutes from the airport, beach, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park, fantastic golf and other area attractions.
The house itself is 3 br/3 ba, including a separate apartment plus an office. It has a pool and jacuzzi and a fully gated acre of flat yard (which is relatively unique to this area) in a safe, family-friendly neighborhood. We also have two cars that we might be willing to include in an exchange.

Our house is gated, in a quiet, friendly neighborhood that is convenient to all San Diego area attractions. From this home base you are 15 minutes from all the San Diego beaches, the restaurants downtown, Sea World, or the Zoo. You are also less than 30 minutes from mountain hiking or Mexico nightlife.
And if you choose to enjoy a quiet Southern California evening at our house (barbequeing by the pool or jacuzzi, perhaps), you could enjoy yourself that way, too.

Overige informatie
We would ideally be interested in exchanging with persons/families who wouldn't mind caring for our dog. However, if you were not interested in interacting with our dog, a neighbor could do that.
We would also ideally like to exchange cars.

We will usually be limited to U.S. school vacations (a week in February, a week in April, June-August, perhaps the third week of November, and the last two weeks of December).

We are interested in a summer 2012 trip, and are interested in Costa Rica, but are open to any location...please tempt us. In general, we are most interested in those homes that provide for outdoor activities that would be appropriate for a vacation with our boys. We are particularly open to unique, out of the way adventures. Our past exchanges have included Kodiak Island, Alaska; Big Sky, Montana; the south of France; the mountains of Utah; and Iceland.

Over ons
We are an attorney and a schoolteacher. We have two boys who are 11 and 8. Our house and garage contain all sorts of things to allow children to enjoy Southern California: bikes, scooters, skateboards, skateboard ramp, boogie boards, rollerblades, basketball hoop/basketballs, soccer balls, etc.
For those days when it's just too sunny, we also have a house filled with books (both for kids and adults), wireless internet and central air conditioning.
We also have a very friendly dog (who stays outside all day) who likes to make new friends. (But if you aren't a pet lover, a neighbor could walk and otherwise tend to our dog, or we could make other arragements.)
