This is a large, high ceilinged Victorian home situated in a very quiet and safe residential area of the Royal Port of Ramsgate. The home boasts a wealth of period features but is an un-fussy family home naturally suited to larger gatherings of family and friends.
The steps up to the front door bring you to the upper ground floor which has two large reception rooms and a study. Alternatively, you can walk straight into the lower ground floor of the house via a boot room which opens through to a large playroom, dining room, kitchen and cloakroom. The dining room opens out to a bright courtyard garden.
Moving up the wide central staircase to the first floor, you'll find the master bedroom with luxury en suite bathroom and guest bedroom. Then there are three very good sized bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor.
Cars can be freely parked on the street outside the house without permits and there is also a private parking space outside the side garage (which is generally used for bicycle and general household storage). |

Ramsgate is a characterful & historic British overlooking the English Channel ; indeed it is the only Royal Port in England and boasts a wealth of very fine Georgian architecture. Our home is close enough to walk easily into the middle of town with it's several good restaurants, pubs, `Blue Flag' beach, marina and theatre.
This is a beautiful part of Kent with excellent road, rail and footpath links to another eight `Blue Flag' beaches within twenty miles (not to mention a wide variety of historic coastal towns like Broadstairs, Sandwich, Whitstable & Deal). Further down the coast, frequent ferry and Eurotunnel services from Dover and Folkestone can whisk you to Northern France.
Inland, the beautiful Cathedral town of Canterbury is just 20 minutes drive or train ride away. Even closer are many miles of secluded footpaths, including the ancient `Pilgrims Way' weaving through the stunning countryside of Kent, the fabled `Garden of England'.
London is just 80 minutes away by road (or rail using the High Speed train to Stratford or King Cross).

We would like to go skiing in Europe during the school Winter holidays 2011 (ideally to Switzerland, Italy or Austria).
Otherwise, we are open to suggestions for short UK breaks (usually weekends &/or school holidays).
