We live in an apartment complex where people are very friendly, know each other and will make you feel welcome. You will feel like at home right away.
Our apartment is very comfortable, has a nice view of the main yard (grassy field) and is only a step from a "community room" where residents gather four times a week for dinners together (vegetarian meals are prepared by volunteers for a very reasonable price, you are welcome to join without any formal notice or reservation).
The apartment complex has a nice pool right next to our building (less then a one minute walk from our door).
There are two bedrooms upstairs, the master has a king-size bed, the smaller bedroom has a full-size bed that can accommodate two children or a young couple (the bed is a little narrower than a standard queen). We also have a crib for an infant or a small child (height is adjustable). If necessary, we can also provide and inflatable bed that can be placed in the living room.

We live in the heart of the Silicon Valley, name a computer company and it is most likely based here - Apple, Google, Facebook, Yahoo, HP etc. We are only a few miles from the Stanford University which means that this area is full of well educated people, it is very diverse and multicultural, full of ethnic restaurants, shops and wide variety of entertainment options.
Mountain View has a nice downtown with variety of restaurants, it is not huge but always bustling with life.
Our house is located in the southern part of the San Francisco Bay Area, we are about 45 min by car from downtown San Francisco, 45 min from the famous surfing beaches in Santa Cruz and about an hour drive from the wine country towns of Sonoma and Napa. With flat land by the bay on one side and redwood covered hills on the other side there are many opportunities for hikes and local nature exploration.
We are walking distance from a train station that will take you downtown San Francisco or San Jose or along the Peninsula.

Our dates are somewhat flexible, we would like to stay for at least two weeks.

We would like to swap for a destination in the US. Oregon, Washington, Montana or you can suggest, we are open to explore new areas beyond California.
We have done RVing in the past and would be happy to trade for a mid-size RV.

We are a mixed family. We are Russell who works in IT and Daniela who is a real estate stager and a photographer. Between us we have four children ages 13, 10, 9 and a baby. There can be 3 to 6 of us in a party. We love to travel, we are not too picky about where we stay, what matters more is what we can do and see.
There will be no animals to take care of, we only have guinea pigs that will move out for the time you come to stay here. There are only three plants to water occasionally.
Our neighbors are very friendly and can be of an assistance if needed.
