Marathon is located in the Florida Keys. The keys are a string of islands stetching south from the Florida mainland. The keys are 120 miles long and 2 blocks wide. With the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other side.

We are 2 and a half hours south of the Miami international airport and 1 hour from historic Key West. Scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking. windsurfing, sailing and deep sea fishing are all easily available. The world class fishing includes sailfish, tuna, mahi-mahi, yellowtail and lobstering.

The gulfstream with its indigo colored water is only 2 miles offshore. Lobster,porpoises and sea turtles are abundant. Sea turtles nest right on our beach. The only living coral reefs in the continental United States are only 1 mile from our home. Boat rentals are also abundant so you can pilot your own boat.

There are doctors and a hospital.

The best time to visit is January thru May when the temperature are in the mid 70's and the humidity is low.

Winery Estate

We are a young-at-heart older couple, Bernard and Marien. Marien is an architect and a contractor, she built the house being exchanged. I had a software company, which I sold, am now retired and dedicated to community work. We are both very active in Florida Keys community and civic volunteering.
