Our Five bedroom 4 bathroom home sits on a hill over looking Deep Creek Lake surrounded by trees and directly across from the State Park. It has cathedral ceilings throughout, a large family room, a card room, bedrooms and bathrooms all on one floor. Downstairs is a play room with a pool table. There are two decks outfront where you can relax and view the lake . Out back is another patio with a hot tub where you can relax in privacy. The house sits on 1 1/2 acre and has its own private dock. It is a short walk to the State Park and all its amenities. Deep Creek Lake with the Wisp Mountain Resort, five minutes away, is a four season resort area with boating, fishing, biking, hiking and skiing in the winter as well as many other outdoor activities.

Deep Creek Lake is a beautiful area situated in the middle of the Alleghany mountains 2800 feet above sea level. The area abounds with outdoor activities during all four seasons. It is an hour away from Morgantown, West Virginia. Two and a half hours from Pittsburg, Pa. and three hours from Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, Md. There are many interesting side trips one can take within a short drive from our house. For example, Falling Water, Frank Lyod Wright's probably most interesting building is just an hour away. We are also in the middle of Amish country with the opportunity to explore their culture. Oakland, Maryland is a quaint little town only 12 miles from the house. It is the county seat for Garrett County and is home to a fabulous Continental restaurant - The Cornish Manor. The city of Cumberland is only 45 minutes away. It is the starting point for the C&O Canal which goes all the way to Washington DC. Wisp Mountain Resort offers a myriad of outdoor activities including the largest man-made white water rafting system in the United States. There are numerous golf courses close by as well as a number of beautiful and interesting state parks.

My name is John. My wife's name is Meg. I am a retired International and Federal Civil Servant. My wife is a retired Flight Attendant. We have two children, both adults. One lives in Virginia near us and the other resides in San Diego. We also have two grandchildren - one is four, the other 2 1/2. We love to travel and explore new horizons.
