Our home is located in quiet neighborhood perched on the side of a hill with an expansive view of the Pacific. It has many original 1920's finishes for style, but we updated and remodeled all of the bathrooms and kitchen within the last 5 years. Our kitchen has excellent appliances, granite countertops and a large banquet that seats 8 and overlooks the ocean. There is a small deck off the back of the kitchen, a flat backyard and a large tv/playroom(great for families with kids).

2 Floors:
Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms--a master with a new king sized bed with ocean views and attached master bath with a Japanese jacuzzi soaking tub, second bedroom has a double bed, third bedroom has a twin bed with a trundle beneath. A beautifully remodeled bathroom is shared between these rooms.
There is a large kitchen, dining room and living room with working fireplace on this floor as well.

Downstairs is a large playroom with a 48 inch HDTV, an office with wireless and additional bedroom (queen bed) and bathroom. There is a sliding glass door that leads to the fenced in backyard from here.

The neighborhood we live in is called West Portal. It's a quiet part of the city with many single family homes. This means the best of all worlds. We've got restaurants, stores and a movie theater in easy walking distance. Several parks and playgrounds are also in the neighborhood and Golden Gate Park is just over a mile away.

In addition, we're located a block from the nearest MUNI (San Francisco's electric train line)stop, so it's easy to get to downtown restaurants and shopping.

Joggers, surfers, nature lovers and families with kids will appreciate that we're about 2 miles from the beach and zoo, which is also accessible by Muni.

We have several babysitters whose names we would provide for families with kids. Adult mountain and kids bikes as well as scooters, skateboards and surfboards are in the garage.

We're interested in exchanging for summer 2013 in late July in France, Spain or Italy.

We're also always interested in weekend ski destination swaps in winter; Wine Country and California Coastal areas in the summer/spring/fall. Convince us and we'll go pretty much anywhere if we have the time.

I'm a freelance food marketer (Meryl, 42) and my husband James(48)is an administrator at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center. We're both very active. We love skiing, surfing, biking and hiking. We also love to eat and cook. Our daughter Eloise(11yrs.)is a sixth grader who loves musical theater, art and photography. Our son Jonah(8 yrs.) is in 2nd grade. He loves sports and food, but we promise to make sure he keeps his food at the table and sports outside your home! We have a young dog and and old cat (outdoor only). We will find outside pet care or trade with pet care if desired.
