Our home is located 20-25 minutes from Seminyak (shopping, restaurants and nightlife) just off the road to Tanah Lot. We have a flat acre of manicured grounds situated next to a river. Directly opposite our property are active ricefields as far as the eye can see. It's really stunning. The main house features a large outdoor living room/dining room. Inside there's a family room with lounge, TV room, kitchen and dining. The master bedroom is downstairs and the children's bedrooms are upstairs. All 3 bedrooms are large with master bathrooms that feature terrazzo tubs/showers. The downstairs master bath has an outdoor tub and shower (it's a Bali thing). We love it!
There's a guest house down closer to the river that offers a large bedroom and bath with a fridge and kitchenette. There's a carpeted yoga studio (kids rumpus room) next to the guest bedroom and an office next to that.
Up at the front of the property there's a 2 car garage and parking for 8 cars. Also there is a staff house with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, laundry facilities etc. Next to the staff house is a beautiful Balinese temple.
Oh, we have a lovely 15 meter salt-water, infinity pool too! It's a winner.

We're in a really nice area of Bali. There's a famous restaurant called The Beach House in Echo Beach that's just a few minutes away. We're at the far edge of Canggu (a World-Class surf break) in the village of Pererenan. Adjacent to our property, just on the other side of the river begins Bali's true "greenbelt". Active ricefields for miles and miles. It's really like a resort here. So peaceful and secluded it's hard to leave.
Bali is very family friendly too with all kinds of activities.
There's Bali Safari and Marine Park, Bali Bird Park, Waterbom Park, White-Water rafting, Bali Elephant Park, Tree-Top Adventure Park etc.
Also lots of cultural dance shows that are a MUST-SEE!

Our Children, Angie 8 and Ryan 6 have only been to America at Christmas time. We've had wonderful winter holidays but this year we want to take the kids there in the summer.
FYI: The summer is the cool, breezy season in Bali. Bali's best weather and busy season is June-Sept.

I'm Jim, an American who has lived and worked building houses in Asia for 15 years. My wife, Putu, is Balinese. Angela is our 8 year old daughter and Ryan is our soon-to-be-6 year old son. The kids go to the Canggu International School about 10 minutes away. The school follows the British system. There's about 350 children at the school and it's one of 4-5 International schools here in Bali. Lots of expat families live in Bali. We are simple folks. The kids go to school, Putu plays tennis when she's not shopping and I work. We've got 2 businesses, 2 kids, 2 dogs, 2 cats and lots of help taking care of it all.
