| We travel a lot. We have a few destinations and dates in here that currently inspire or interest us, but we are very open - as long as it is not too cold in the place and time (we are not skiers and really don't do well in the colder climates).
Given that we already live in a Resort destination, it is preferable that we go somewhere 'city-ish' - ideally within a short train or car ride to be amongst the life of the town/city. Larger cities would get our preference if it comes down to being fortunate enough to have a couple of choices during the time we are looking at. Longer exchanges (over 3 weeks) are preferred for anywhere that requires more than a 10 hour flight to get to.
We have a wedding to attend in Montreal (where James lived for more than a decade) at the end of this May, we are currently inspired to attempt to arrange a couple of exchanges in San Fran and N.York area, which we would like to do throughout June.
We are always open to swapping for 3 day minimum's in Melbourne, Australia.
Our closest major airport is Brisbane in Queensland. It is less than a 2 hr drive Nth to Noosa. There is a good domestic airport only 30 minutes away (Sunshine Coast Airport, also known as Maroochydore Airport) for trips interstate. There are really convenient and affordable door to door bus services from both airports in both directions.
Temperature is great all year round. We're blessed with no really cold weather. Melbourne and Sydney residents usually try and escape up here in July and August (our Winter for those unfamiliar)as it is a beautiful 20 - 25 C degree each day with cool nights. A very pleasant Australian 'winter'. |
